We’re currently renovating an existing building, we’re finding that the columns are up and down alot throughout the floor. My superintendent and I aren’t sure if we should set everything off of a benchmark or follow the floor / beams.
Any feedback on this type of problem would be appreciated!
We do alot of work in existing buildings. Tolerances are always a challenge.
Have you done detailed surveys of each floor?
Typically we sent a bench mark on each floor and work off of it, there may be adjustments though if your floors are off significantly.
I agree with what Designervendor has suggested. Set a bench mark and work off of it.
Dealing with something similar so would appreciate any other ideas or feedback.
