John Deere is proving that the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) is not just for computer companies anymore. The heavy equipment manufacturer is showcasing its electric excavator at the world\u2019s largest technology show, currently underway in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything we do at John Deere is focused on real purpose and real impact,\u201d said Jahmy Hindman, CTO at John Deere. \u201cThis means we\u2019re developing technology that enables our customers to provide the food, fuel, fiber and infrastructure that our growing global population needs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The company says that the electric excavator, which is powered by a Kreisel battery, is expected to deliver lower daily operating costs to construction companies and road builders while reducing jobsite noise and providing enhanced machine reliability and zero emissions. These benefits, it says, come without sacrificing the power and performance needed in a machine for the sector.<\/p>\n

Deere holds a majority stake in Kreisel Electric, which creates state-of-the-art battery technology for a wide range of mobile and stationary applications.<\/p>\n

The electric excavator, and its ExactShot planting system for the farm industry, are on display at John Deere\u2019s CES 2023 booth (#5617) until January 8.<\/p>\n
