Designed by Wallman Architects, work continues on two transitional levels and is just beginning on the project’s more slender tower floor-plates above, striding towards an eventual count of 47 storeys, as work advances into the process of forming the repeating tower floors.

<imgx alt="Construction of The Saint, 47-storey residential development in Downtown Toronto designed by Wallman Architects for Minto Communities GTA" class="image-display_default" data-entity-type="file" data-entity-uuid="insert-display_default-3277f544-283b-4b92-86b1-55f81aca2eaf" data-insert-attach="{" id="" data-insert-class="image-display_default" data-insert-type="image" src="https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2023/02/51342/51342-154200.JPG" onclick="photo('https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2023/02/51342/51342-154200.JPG', true, ''); return false;" title="Looking northeast at the podium of The Saint topped off, image by UT Forum contributor ML555"/>Looking northeast at the podium of The Saint topped off, image by UT Forum contributor ML555

The image above, captured on February 3rd, provides an effective summary of the work taking place on the site lately. Since our last update in May, 2022, the project has climbed through the forming of five full levels (plus a mezzanine) of the building’s podium, each with unique floor-plans. With added challenges in the form of design features like the double height grade level, and building systems like the service vehicle access, the completion of the podium will mark a boost in construction speed moving forward.

<imgx alt="Construction of The Saint, 47-storey residential development in Downtown Toronto designed by Wallman Architects for Minto Communities GTA" class="image-display_default" data-entity-type="file" data-entity-uuid="insert-display_default-ed3cef1e-fd92-4f27-9f04-88ba4de5f32b" data-insert-attach="{" id="" data-insert-class="image-display_default" data-insert-type="image" src="https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2023/02/51342/51342-154201.jpeg" onclick="photo('https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2023/02/51342/51342-154201.jpeg', true, ''); return false;" title="9th floor slab distinguishes tower from 2-storey 'reveal' below, image by UT Forum contributor mburrrrr"/>9th floor slab distinguishes tower from 2-storey ‘reveal’ below, image by UT Forum contributor mburrrrr

A week later, another image shows how one of the building’s defining visual features is beginning to emerge above the podium, the two-storey ‘reveal’ that transitions from the podium to the tower proper.
