The company anticipates increasing its solar module production capacity in the United States from 1.7 gigawatts in 2022 to 8.4 gigawatts by 2024, states the release.<\/p>\n<p>Qcells intends to hire 2,500 people in Georgia at the facility, which will house the entire solar panel manufacturing process, including ingot production, wafer processing, cell processing and module production.<\/p>\n<p>The passage of the\u00a0Inflation Reduction Act last year was a major driver in helping this project move forward, states the release, adding under the act, solar companies making solar panel components can claim tax credits.
