Tillman Advanced Water Purification Facility, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/invest.jacobs.com\/news\/news-details\/2023\/Jacobs-to-Design-and-Build-Advanced-Water-Reuse-Facility-in-Los-Angeles\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\"><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>according to a company press release<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span><span><span><span><span><span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Scope of work includes design responsibility, permitting, construction, start-up and commissioning, according to Jacobs. The project will use advanced treatment processes, such as microfiltration, reverse osmosis and ultraviolet and advanced oxidation to purify more than 15 million gallons of water per day.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>The Dallas-based construction services firm has more than 25 years of experience in the water design-build space and has delivered more than 150 design-build projects and programs, according to the release.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>\u201cWater scarcity is a growing issue across the globe,\u201d said Ron Williams, senior vice president of Jacobs People &amp; Places Americas Solutions segment. \u201cTaking this innovative and collaborative approach to tackle water shortages in Los Angeles offers a safe, sustainable and effective way to manage water resources and address water scarcity issues in the state.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>The project forms part of the City of Los Angeles\u2019 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lacitysan.org\/san\/faces\/home\/portal\/s-lsh-es\/s-lsh-es-owla?_afrLoop=1767288847487988&amp;_afrWindowMode=0&amp;_afrWindowId=null&amp;_adf.ctrl-state=uzvvkw2tu_1#!%40%40%3F_afrWindowId%3Dnull%26_afrLoop%3D1767288847487988%26_afrWindowMode%3D0%26_adf.ctrl-state%3Duzvvkw2tu_5\" target=\"_blank\"><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>long-term water management objective<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span><span><span><span><span><span> to fully reuse its water supplies, and ranks as one of the largest potable reuse projects in the country. The facility will treat wastewater from the existing Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant to produce purified water suitable for groundwater replenishment via the Hansen Spreading Grounds.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>The project received an estimated $81 million in funding through the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act program, according to the release.
