The project successfully wrestled for approval of ambitious rezoning requests,\u00a0changed ownership, and has experienced extensive design changes. Now being brought to fruition by a team of experienced developers \u2014\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/great-gulf.7729\" target=\"_blank\">Great Gulf<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/dream-unlimited.7880\" target=\"_blank\">Dream Unlimited<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/westdale-properties.25626\" target=\"_blank\">Westdale Properties<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 the first phase has sold very well and\u00a0 secured financing during the most unstable economic climate in years. Formerly the home of the iconic Old Ed\u2019s Warehouse restaurant, a relic of a bygone era in the history of Toronto, the early 20th century building was more recently occupied by a Shoeeless Joe&#8217;s Sports Grill, before going vacant in 2020. Pictured again in late February only a few floors of the old warehouse remained.
