PRESENTERS: Missouri Works Initiative\u2019s John Gaal and Holmes Murphy and Associates\u2019 Cal Beyer<\/p>\n

THEY SAY: John Gaal: \u201cMost doctors have a standing prescription ready for you, all you have to do is make your case for it. But they\u2019re not going to give you 30 days when only three days are being used and 27 days are being diverted out into the market.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cal Beyer: \u201cHarm reduction alone is not enough. It has to be a combination. We need to take care of those individuals in recovery and active addiction, but we need to stop the next wave.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

PRESENTER: Ironworkers International director of diversity Vicki O\u2019Leary<\/p>\n

SHE SAYS: \u201cIt\u2019s more verbal and microaggressions\u2026when you are dealing with them day after day after day. It may not be the last thing they said that is the straw that broke the camel\u2019s back, but it has been those micro-inequities over time that get your mind blown.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
