Joint developers MRP and Vita plan to start construction at the Gough Street site this summer hoping to complete in Summer 2026 to coincide with the start of the academic year.<\/p>\n

The 29-storey scheme was initially rejected because it was deemed as \u201ctoo overbearing\u201d.<\/p>\n

Alongside 540 studio apartments, the project will feature private dining rooms, a gym, and an outdoor terrace.<\/p>\n

Max Bielby, chief operating officer for Vita Group said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to achieve planning consent for this exciting new development in Birmingham with MRP.<\/p>\n

\u201cDemand for high-quality PBSA within Birmingham continues to outstrip supply, this in turn is creating wider pressures on the city\u2019s housing infrastructure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the completion of the new building, Vita Group will own, operate, and manage the building as Vita Student.<\/p>\n

The building is designed to be highly sustainable, meeting BREAAM \u2018Very Good\u2019.<\/p>\n
