{"id":15215,"date":"2023-04-09T09:12:54","date_gmt":"2023-04-09T16:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/rfp-issued-for-two-major-works-packages-for-ontario-line\/"},"modified":"2023-04-09T09:12:55","modified_gmt":"2023-04-09T16:12:55","slug":"rfp-issued-for-two-major-works-packages-for-ontario-line","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/rfp-issued-for-two-major-works-packages-for-ontario-line\/","title":{"rendered":"RFP issued for two major works packages for Ontario Line"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/essential.construction\/files\/membership-default-internal\/\" class=\"memberhide\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/01\/20220718_175041000_iOS.jpg\" alt=\"-\"><\/a><br\/><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>TORONTO \u2014 Requests for Proposals (RFP) have been issued for two major works packages for the Ontario Line: Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations and the Elevated Guideway and Stations contracts.<\/p>\n<p>Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Metrolinx recently announced six teams have been shortlisted and invited to bid on the packages, which are being delivered using a progressive design-build delivery model.<\/p>\n<p>Shortlisted teams were selected based on criteria identified in the Request for Qualifications process that began in November 2022, which included their design and construction experience.<\/p>\n<p>The Ontario Line will be a 15.6 kilometre new rapid transit line in Toronto running between the Ontario Science Centre and Exhibition\/Ontario Place, with 15 stations along the way.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The following teams and their prime team members were invited to respond to the RFPs for the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Community Transit Link \u2013 STRABAG Inc. (applicant lead and construction team); and STRABAG Inc., Arup Canada Inc. (design team)<\/li>\n<li>Pape North Connect \u2013 Webuild S.p.A., FCC CONSTRUCCI\u00d3N, S.A. (applicant leads and construction team); IBI Group Professional Services (Canada) Inc., AECOM Canada Ltd. (design team)<\/li>\n<li>Trillium Subway Partners \u2013 Acciona Infrastructure Canada Inc., Eiffage Innovative Canada Inc., Amico Infrastructures Incorporated (applicant leads); WSP Canada Inc. (Lead Designer), Typsa Canada Inc., LEA Consulting Ltd. (design team); and Acciona Infrastructure Canada Inc., Eiffage Innovative Canada Inc. (construction team)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The elevated guideway and stations teams include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rail Connect Partnership \u2013 SNC-Lavalin Major Projects Inc., Bird Construction Industrial Services Ltd. (applicant leads and construction team); and T.Y. Lin International Canada Inc., Entuitive Corporation (design team)<\/li>\n<li>Transit Expansion North \u2013 Pomerleau Inc., Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc., Bouygues Travaux Publics S.A.S. (applicant leads); Parsons Inc., SYSTRA International Bridge Technologies Canada, Inc., GHD Limited (design team); and Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc., Bouygues Travaux Publics S.A.S. (construction team)<\/li>\n<li>Trillium Guideway Partners <strong>\u2013 <\/strong>Acciona Infrastructure Canada Inc., Amico Infrastructures Inc., Dufferin Construction Company, a division of CRH Canada Group Inc. (applicant leads and construction team); and WSP Canada Inc.
