Sweden-based contractor and developer <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Skanska has announced shifts<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> in leadership for its USA Civil operation\u2019s West Coast team.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n As part of his transition toward retirement, Mike Aparicio, based in Pasadena, California, will step aside from his current role of executive vice president of the West Coast region to become senior vice president of operations. He will stay in that role into next year to help with strategic transitions, according to the release.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Senior vice president James Bailey, who is based in Riverside, California, has worked with Skanska since 2009, and he will move into Aparicio\u2019s role as executive vice president. Ryan Clayton, who joined Skanska in 2001 and since worked on projects across the U.S., will be promoted to senior vice president, general manager. He will oversee day-to-day operations of the West Coast Civil division in his new role.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Aparicio joined Skanska in 2008, delivering infrastructure jobs like the Exposition Light Rail Transit Phase 2 project. Completed in 2016, the 6.6-mile rail extension for the Exposition Rail Authority connects Culver City, California, to Santa Monica, California.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt is with a blend of emotions that I share that Mike Aparicio will be transitioning toward retirement,\u201d Don Fusco, president and CEO of Skanska USA\u2019s Civil operations, said in a statement. \u201cMike has been a force in the construction industry and a huge asset to our team over the last 15 years.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The changes are effective Aug. 7.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
