One such opportunity is unfolding in Markham, where <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/treasure-hill-homes.8799\" target=\"_blank\">Treasure Hill Homes<\/a> has resubmitted their applications for Official Plan and Zoning By-Law Amendment for a site just steps north of Mount Joy GO station. Markham Road is about 200m to the west, with the Metrolinx Stouffville corridor just to the east. Then in 2018, two 19-storey towers on a single podium were proposed by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/sasson-construction.40502\" target=\"_blank\">Sasson Construction Inc<\/a>. The baton was then passed to Treasure Hill Homes with a proposal for a 30-storey building. The number of proposed residential units has also gone up significantly since 2021, from 362 to 508. The podium would be eight storeys. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/graziani-corazza-architects.7998\" target=\"_blank\">Graziani + Corazza Architects<\/a> has designed the podium massing to define the Anderson and Bur Oak avenues street edges. Indoor amenities would have about 710m\u00b2 of space, complemented by an adjoining outdoor rooftop amenity space of about 879m\u00b2.<\/p>\n<p>In line with efforts to promote a greener future and reduce reliance on vehicles, the number of parking spaces has reduced in the resubmission. In the four levels of underground parking, the total number of proposed vehicular parking spots has dropped from 380 to 246, of which 77 would be for visitors and commercial use.
