Tack on another $600 million investment to the multi-billion dollar push<\/a> to move manufacturing operations back to the United States.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Entegris, a Billerica, Massachusetts-based supplier of advanced materials and process solutions for the semiconductor industry, held a groundbreaking ceremony earlier this month for its state-of-the-art facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The building forms part of Entegris\u2019 new campus project, which is targeted to begin initial commercial operation in early 2025, according to the <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>company release<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The $600 million project will include several phases, starting with the 100,000 square-foot facility. After completing that build, the company plans to increase its production capability to include the most advanced products for filtration and purification, as well as wafer carriers, according to the release.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Its president and CEO, Bertrand Loy, said the project aims to \u201chelp shorten the supply chain\u201d and \u201cmeet the growing needs of domestic manufacturers.\u201d The project will generate about 600 new jobs over the next several years, according to the release.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
