From affordable housing to premium condominiums, industrial buildings to school infrastructure, the transformation is everywhere. Let&#8217;s embark on a quick tour of some prominent sites that have recently started construction over the past month.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/ontario-line-queen-station.47569\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"cke_bm_152S\">\u00a0<\/span>Ontario Line: Queen Station<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Progress is visible on the site of the Ontario Line&#8217;s Queen Station at 176 Yonge St, another\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/metrolinx.7767\" target=\"_blank\">Metrolinx<\/a> project that is slowly &#8211; but surely &#8211; expanding Toronto&#8217;s public transit network. Digging is underway for two levels of underground parking while the steel skeleton of a new structure is already emerging. The arrival of a flatbed truck and construction equipment is setting the stage for the three-storey building to rise at the northeast corner of Elm Avenue and Mt. The 12-storey, 173-unit residential building is set to change the streetscape of St. Clair West Village.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/lawrence-hill.26668\" target=\"_blank\">Lawrence Hill<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Lawrence Hill project at 71 Curlew Drive is off to a robust start. With developer <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/mtb-group.38128\" target=\"_blank\">MTB Group<\/a> at the helm and designs by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/arcadis.8006\" target=\"_blank\">Arcadis<\/a>, the project will see the construction of six different buildings, each standing four storeys, providing a total of 222 new units to the Parkwoods community, located on the eastern edge of North York. Coming from the team of\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/cityzen-development-group.7610\" target=\"_blank\">Cityzen Development Group<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/greybrook-realty-partners.8686\" target=\"_blank\">Greybrook Realty Partners<\/a>, and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/first-capital.7711\" target=\"_blank\">First Capital<\/a>, this 29-storey, 65-unit tower with a unique massing and balcony design is set to transform Yorkville and Avenue Road, and is getting things started with an active crane on site.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/4626-kingston.46286\" target=\"_blank\">4626 Kingston Road<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This affordable housing project by the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/city-toronto.7680\" target=\"_blank\">City of Toronto<\/a>, designed by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/montgomery-sisam-architects.8027\" target=\"_blank\">Montgomery Sisam Architects<\/a>,\u00a0is in the West Hill neighbourhood at the northwest corner of Kingston Road and Orchard Park Drive. Developer <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/nvsble.45665\" target=\"_blank\">NVSBLE<\/a>, along with architects\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/bdp-quadrangle.8043\" target=\"_blank\">BDP Quadrangle<\/a>, are working together to bring a\u00a0seven-storey residential project featuring 28 units to the Riverdale neighbourhood. The arrival of a shoring machine signals the next stage of construction.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/895-milner.48996\" target=\"_blank\">895 Milner Avenue<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Industrial construction is also underway at 895 Milner Avenue, on the site of a project by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/morguard-corporation.7776\" target=\"_blank\">Morguard Corporation<\/a> and designed by Powers Brown Architecture. The single-storey building&#8217;s steel frame is beginning to take shape, aided by a construction lift.
