{"id":19252,"date":"2023-07-08T00:39:12","date_gmt":"2023-07-08T07:39:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/ontario-wsib-payments-possible-through-cra\/"},"modified":"2023-07-08T00:39:15","modified_gmt":"2023-07-08T07:39:15","slug":"ontario-wsib-payments-possible-through-cra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/ontario-wsib-payments-possible-through-cra\/","title":{"rendered":"Ontario WSIB payments possible through CRA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/essential.construction\/files\/membership-default-internal\/\" class=\"memberhide\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/01\/20220718_175041000_iOS.jpg\" alt=\"-\"><\/a><br\/><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a rel=\"magnific nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.on-sitemag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/WSIB_logo-scaled.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a>Ontario\u2019s Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) has worked in collaboration with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to launch a new option for businesses in that province to report their insurable earnings and make WSIB premium payments online.<\/p>\n<p>The new service, which makes use of the company\u2019s CRA My Business Account, aims to provide a simple way to manage accounts, allowing companies to pay WSIB premiums at the same time as they file their business taxes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re always looking for ways to make it easier for people to do business with us,\u201d said Jeffery Lang, president and CEO of the WSIB. \u201cThis new service with the CRA is a convenient option for business owners to take care of their WSIB account and file their business taxes in one user-friendly spot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Businesses can also report and pay WSIB premiums using online banking or the board\u2019s online services. WSIB also offers online services to view statements and claim information, find or obtain clearances, report injuries or illnesses, analyze rates, and much more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter introducing new leadership, our government has given the WSIB a clear mandate to improve services for the businesses and injured workers that rely on them,\u201d said Monte McNaughton, Ontario\u2019s minister of labour, immigration, training and skills development. \u201cFrom returning over a billion dollars to safe employers to raising compensation for injured workers, today\u2019s announcement is another example of the positive change taking place at the WSIB.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Government of Canada is committed to helping businesses.
