Rising 57 storeys and featuring 825 residential units, it will have a “thoughtful design (that) is elegant and quiet, offering a sympathetic counterbalance to the iconic silhouettes currently rising on the eastern edge of the site.”

The three sculptural towers will stand as a unified family of buildings that speak to one another, completing the narrative of the M City site, the release indicates. The exterior façades will feature a subtle twisting motion that produce a uniform profile to bookend the community.

M6’s façade uses a palate of metal, glass and concrete that will draw the eye upwards to create a sense of verticality. Horizontal balconies create an interesting expression where the building appears as if it’s being carved and pulled with each storey, the release reads.

The building comes down to grade with a triangular chamfer that frames the entrance and creates a forecourt along the public streetscape.

“Our vision for M City has always been about creating a vibrant and welcoming community that’s anchored by thoughtful and inspiring design,” said Mark Reeve, partner at Urban Capital, in a statement. “The launch of M6 comes at a particularly busy moment onsite, with construction for M1 and M2 at the finish line, M3 and M4 continuing apace, and the start of construction for M5.”

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-5143531171910809"
     data-ad-slot="8320848692"
     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

This article was originally posted at Source link

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — Rogers Real Estate Development Limited and Urban Capital have unveiled the design for the three remaining towers … Read more

[1037
357,295
post-19542","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-daily-commercial-news","tag-blog","tag-technology","generate-columns","tablet-grid-50","mobile-grid-100","grid-parent","grid-33
["GET
