{"id":20105,"date":"2023-07-29T02:25:20","date_gmt":"2023-07-29T09:25:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/firms-put-on-alert-for-1-6bn-of-decarbonisation-frameworks\/"},"modified":"2023-07-29T02:25:21","modified_gmt":"2023-07-29T09:25:21","slug":"firms-put-on-alert-for-1-6bn-of-decarbonisation-frameworks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/firms-put-on-alert-for-1-6bn-of-decarbonisation-frameworks\/","title":{"rendered":"Firms put on alert for \u00a31.6bn of decarbonisation frameworks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/essential.construction\/files\/membership-default-internal\/\" class=\"memberhide\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/01\/20220718_175041000_iOS.jpg\" alt=\"-\"><\/a><br\/><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Both frameworks will be valued at \u00a31.6bn and run for four years and each will have its own contracting authority.<\/p>\n<p>One framework will be dedicated for healthcare schemes, with Great Ormond Street Hospital serving as a sector-specialist host.<\/p>\n<p>The second framework will be hosted by Hull City Council and be open to all other sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Both frameworks will offer a dozen regional lots to ensure SME and local-based supplier involvement.<\/p>\n<p>Each of these regions will be separated into\u00a0two\u00a0main service lots:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lot 1 \u2013 Retrofit Consultancy<\/li>\n<li>Lot 2 \u2013 Main Contractor Delivery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Under Lot 1, clients will be able to appoint retrofit assessors,\u00a0coordinators,\u00a0designers\u00a0and\u00a0evaluators\u00a0to\u00a0provide\u00a0specialist consultancy services for decarbonisation projects.<\/p>\n<p>Firms will be able to provide a full business case for the delivery, then sit client-side throughout the delivery phase in a coordination role.<\/p>\n<p>To be appointed to the lot, consultants will\u00a0be required to hold relevant accreditations, such as PAS2035 or PAS2038 for the assessment of domestic dwellings and commercial buildings for energy retrofit.<\/p>\n<p>Under Lot 2, main contractors will be appointed to\u00a0provide a complete business solution for clients.<\/p>\n<p>Lot 2 will be split into four value bands<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lot 2a \u2013 \u00a3250k to \u00a31m<\/li>\n<li>Lot 2b \u2013 \u00a31m to \u00a35m<\/li>\n<li>Lot 2c \u2013 \u00a35m to \u00a315m<\/li>\n<li>Lot 2d \u2013 \u00a315m and above<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The general building decarbonisation framework will also be divided into three building classes, with a requirement to\u00a0submit\u00a0evidence case studies.
