It is anticipated that main construction works will commence on-site in November, with John Sisk widely expected to be named main contractor shortly.<\/p>\n
The project will boost the ground\u2019s capacity from 54,000 to 60,000 while creating a \u201cbest-in-class fan experience and year-round entertainment and leisure destination.\u201d<\/p>\n
Plans include several connected all-weather facilities integrated into the stadium centred around an expanded North Stand with one larger, single upper tier above the existing lower tier.<\/p>\n
This will be completed and open during the 2025\/26 football season.<\/p>\n
Above the upper tier, a sky bar with views overlooking the pitch will be built alongside a stadium roof walk experience.<\/p>\n
A covered City Square fan zone, with capacity for 3,000 people and a wide variety of food and drink outlets, a new club shop, museum and a 400-bed hotel are also proposed.<\/p>\n
The hotel, workspace and public realm works, including City Square, would subsequently complete by late 2026.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
