Federal infrastructure dollars are flowing to states and jurisdictions, thanks to the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act passed in November 2021. That <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>public spending is keeping the construction industry afloat<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>, even as private projects stall.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Nonetheless, a recent <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Associated General Contractors of America report<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> warned some of the regulatory requirements associated with this federal construction funding, such as incomplete guidance on new Buy America rules, has delayed projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Some contractors are also having <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>difficulty finding enough workers<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> to do the job once they land it, which is why Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro recently launched a <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>program to help infrastructure-building companies<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> address the skilled trade labor shortage.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Construction Dive wants to know what impact the IIJA is having on your business.
