This is due to a range of issues, from <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/news\/city-of-toronto-makes-progress-on-housing-now-initiative-construction-at-first-site-beginning-in-july\/\" target=\"_blank\">the pandemic to rising interest rates<\/a>. The City and its Housing Now private sector partners are persisting, however, and now <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/tricon-residential.8368\" target=\"_blank\">Tricon Residential<\/a>\u00a0in partnership with\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/kilmer-group.8677\" target=\"_blank\">Kilmer Group<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/createto.7659\" target=\"_blank\">CreateTO<\/a>\u00a0have advanced plans for a new mixed-use development at <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/5207-dundas-west.49872\" target=\"_blank\">5207 Dundas Street West<\/a>. Following an initial detailed proposal in 2022, a revised proposal which increases heights and unit count has been submitted for Site Plan Approval. These spaces will be located in a single level below-ground garage, accessed from Adobigok Pathway, a side street to the south. Each tower will be equipped with three elevators, resulting in one elevator for every 122 units for the shorter tower, and about 115 units per elevator for the taller tower.<\/p>\n<p>The exterior landscaping plans are designed by\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/ccxa.8147\" target=\"_blank\">CCxA<\/a>, the design team run by Claude Cormier, and who are behind \u2014 among other recently built favourites \u2014 the dog fountain at <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/berczy-park-revitalization.17533\" target=\"_blank\">Berczy Park<\/a>, and more recently the heart-shaped fountain at\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/love-park.44708\" target=\"_blank\">Love Park<\/a>\u00a0at the Harbourfront.
