Fast forward to today, and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/metro-park-condos.23585\" target=\"_blank\">Metro Park Condos<\/a> is a hive of activity. With this area of Toronto getting two new rapid transit lines in the coming years \u2014 the soon-to-open Eglinton Line 5, and Ontario Line 3 further in the future \u2014 developers\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/dbs-developments.31632\" target=\"_blank\">DBS Developments<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/preston-group.31340\" target=\"_blank\">Preston Group<\/a>\u00a0are among the local landowners aiming to modernize this area. Metal safety barriers demarcate the active work zone, concealing the exposed ground fronting the building. Looking northward, the southern portion of the site sees impressive excavation progress.\u00a0Mounds of earth are amassed on the building&#8217;s western front, hinting at ongoing work, with a yellow excavator perched atop.
