The City of Toronto is redeveloping the site into a 5-storey, multi-use building while retaining the heritage St Lawrence Hall and South Market buildings to either side of it. The north building is rapidly morphing from a construction site into a landmark, blending traditional cues with innovation. With each passing month, the structure grows more intricate, getting closer to the design presented in the renderings.

<imgx alt="St Lawrence Market North, Toronto, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, City of Toronto" class="image-display_default" data-entity-type="file" data-entity-uuid="insert-display_default-9b9cc7c3-69be-4e35-9e1b-010f900af7cc" data-insert-attach="{" id="" data-insert-class="image-display_default" data-insert-type="image" src="https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2023/08/53564/53564-161349.jpeg" onclick="photo('https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2023/08/53564/53564-161349.jpeg', true, ''); return false;" title="Looking southwest to St Lawrence Market North, designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners for City of Toronto"/>Looking southwest to St Lawrence Market North, designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners for City of Toronto

Three months after our previous update, looking southward, the east elevation reveals windows that are neatly framed by bright orange aluminum fins.
