The Ashbridges Bay plant is Ontario’s oldest and largest wastewater treatment plant and has been in operation since 2017.

On Aug. 10 Graham reported on X, formerly Twitter, that last month the firm completed the final wall pour on the site and in a few weeks Graham will be pouring the last of the suspended slabs.

The City of Toronto estimated in April the job would be completed next summer. The project was originally scheduled for 59 months.

Incorporated within the building are underground service tunnels and effluent conduits, mechanical service rooms, chemical storage and dosing facilities, electrical power distribution and office space, stated Graham’s website.

Work also included selective removals and upgrades to existing process equipment, electrical system, structural work, architectural work, building mechanical systems, fire protection, plumbing and drainage, site work and other miscellaneous work at the plant water pumping station.

The project involved extensive heavy civil components including over 595 piles.

The project owner is the City of Toronto and the prime consultant is Aecom.

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-5143531171910809"
     data-ad-slot="8320848692"
     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

This article was originally posted at Source link

TORONTO — Graham Construction has issued a progress report on the multi-year Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant upgrade project near Toronto’s … Read more

[1066,1037
357,295
post-20778","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-all-posts","category-daily-commercial-news","tag-blog","tag-technology","generate-columns","tablet-grid-50","mobile-grid-100","grid-parent","grid-33
["GET
