Designed by Copenhagen-based architects\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/3xn.12891\" target=\"_blank\">3XN<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/hines.8244\" target=\"_blank\">Hines<\/a>, construction of this centrally located project has now reached the typical floors of the residential tower.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><imgx alt=\"88 Bathurst Street, Toronto, 3XN, Hines\" class=\"image-display_default\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"insert-display_default-3daba3f6-f73b-4779-864f-6aed79937ef6\" data-insert-attach=\"{\" id=\"\" data-insert-class=\"image-display_default\" data-insert-type=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.skyrisecities.com\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/articles\/2023\/08\/53614\/53614-161488.jpeg\" onclick=\"photo('https:\/\/cdn.skyrisecities.com\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/articles\/2023\/08\/53614\/53614-161488.jpeg', true, ''); return false;\" title=\"Looking southwest to 88 Bathurst Street, image from submission to City of Toronto\"\/><span class=\"image-description\">Looking southwest to 88 Bathurst Street, image from submission to City of Toronto<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Since <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/news\/2023\/06\/3xn-designed-tower-climbing-towards-17-storeys-above-bathurst-street.53098\" target=\"_blank\">our last update in June<\/a>, the construction site has achieved a milestone; in mid-August the last of the atypical floors \u2014 before the repeating floors of the residential levels \u2014 is now under construction.<\/p>\n<p>Stepping back a couple of weeks though, an aerial perspective from July 18 provides a view looking southeast to the concrete boom pump&#8217;s red arm as it channels liquid concrete to a section of the fifth floor transfer slab, where crew members wait to spread the mixture evenly. In the lower-left corner, an area that will house outdoor amenities on the podium rooftop are discernible, but currently in use as a staging area for construction materials. Here, the thickness of the fourth floor can clearly be made it too; atop the commercial levels, it too is a transfer slab, capable of shifting the loads from the floors to come above to repositioned walls below. Here, the fifth floor transfer slab is still being formed.
