The printed wrap is designed to look like the iconic IKEA Frakta shopping bag and covers\u00a0 scaffolding during works by main contractor McLaren to transform the former Topshop building into a new store for the Swedish furniture giant.<\/p>\n

The installation comprises of six fully engineered offset frames provided by Embrace. Five of\u00a0 these carry a silhouette line drawing of the building itself, complete with the highly\u00a0 recognisable Westminster City Council street nameplates in their original positions.<\/p>\n

The final\u00a0 banner section replicates the giant blue Frakta bag with three dimensional handles.<\/p>\n

The project required 1,000 linear metres of scaffold tubes for the offset frames and uprights,\u00a0 and 2,400 square metres of printed PVC-free scaffold wraps \u2013 an\u00a0 area equivalent of 44 double-decker buses.<\/p>\n
