{"id":21198,"date":"2023-08-26T03:48:08","date_gmt":"2023-08-26T10:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/ilke-homes-went-under-owing-320m\/"},"modified":"2023-08-26T03:48:13","modified_gmt":"2023-08-26T10:48:13","slug":"ilke-homes-went-under-owing-320m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/ilke-homes-went-under-owing-320m\/","title":{"rendered":"Ilke Homes went under owing \u00a3320m"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/essential.construction\/files\/membership-default-internal\/\" class=\"memberhide\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/01\/20220718_175041000_iOS.jpg\" alt=\"-\"><\/a><br\/><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"post-478207\">\n\t<!-- .entry-header --><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>The scale of the modular house builder\u2019s debts can be revealed after the <em>Enquirer<\/em> saw a statement of proposals issued to creditors by administrator AlixPartners.<\/p>\n<p>Ilke went into administration in June after running out of money and failing to find a buyer for the business.<\/p>\n<p>Money owed to unsecured creditors was \u00a3249m with the vast majority \u2013 \u00a3226m \u2013 made up of inter-company debts associated with losses suffered by equity investors.<\/p>\n<p>Ilke Homes owed subcontractors and suppliers \u00a317m and the tax authorities \u00a32m plus \u00a368m to Homes England.<\/p>\n<p>Sister development company Ilke Homes Land also collapsed owing \u00a314m to subcontractors and suppliers and \u00a321m in inter-company debts.<\/p>\n<p>The administrator\u2019s report also revealed that Ilke Homes had just \u00a326,000 in the bank when it went under while the administrators have racked-up \u00a3400,000 in fees so far at an average hourly rate of \u00a3446.<\/p>\n<p>One creditor said: \u201cThe numbers are just mind blowing.
