Situated north of the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/tysse-vaughan-metropolitan-centre-station.2718\" target=\"_blank\">Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC)<\/a> \u2014 the nascent downtown core of the City north of Toronto \u2014 the site is located approximately 600 metres north of the University Line 1 terminal station at VMC, placing it within a Major Transit Station Area (MTSA) designation. Unlike a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/city-government\/planning-development\/zoning-by-law-preliminary-zoning-reviews\/zoning-in-toronto\/ministerial-zoning-orders\/\" target=\"_blank\">Minister&#8217;s Zoning Order (MZO)<\/a>\u00a0which bypasses local decision-making, CIHA emphasizes community engagement. Additionally, there are plans for 1,835m\u00b2 of retail space, a 6,081m\u00b2 convention centre, and a substantial 20,083m\u00b2 dedicated to hotel accommodations in the 8- and 50-storey buildings. For the cycling community, there is a provision for 1,034 long-term bicycle parking spots and 281 short-term spots. There would be four elevators each in the two tallest towers, three for the senior lifestyle housing, and two for the hotel. Notably, there are 18 developments in the vicinity, some of which include\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/201-millway.52991\" target=\"_blank\">201 Millway Avenue<\/a>\u00a0along the north edge of the VMC, which is gearing up for a 45-storey tower, while further south, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/175-millway-avenue.44073\" target=\"_blank\">175 Millway Avenue<\/a> has plans for a 64-storey building.
