Arcadis has been awarded a five-year Enterprise Decision Analytics (EDA) contract with Infrastructure Ontario. The agreement with the company, a global design and consultancy organization for natural and built assets, includes analytics software as well as mobile data collection.<\/p>\n

The Crown agency, which supports the province\u2019s initiatives to modernize and maximize the value of public infrastructure and real estate, will use the technology to help unlock efficiencies and make qualitative data-driven decisions.<\/p>\n

The project is due to commence this month and will be supported by Arcadis and its partner Conectado Solutions Inc. In preparation, Infrastructure Ontario actively sought to refresh its technologies to manage growth and the associated complexities in decision-making. Arcadis says the new tools will enable IO to maximize the value of its data by collecting condition assessment data from across its entire portfolio, facilitating the agency\u2019s efforts to improve asset performance while optimizing its capital asset management decision-making processes.<\/p>\n

\u201cData is crucial, and by working with our clients to embed digitally enabled tools and products like EDA, we can enable more informed decision-making to help maximize value across the entire asset lifecycle,\u201d said Alan Brookes, chief executive officer at Arcadis. \u201cEDA is already successfully being used by clients in the USA, Canada, UK, the Netherlands and Australia, and I\u2019m pleased that we can now bring this innovative solution to Infrastructure Ontario to support their asset management goals.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cArcadis\u2019 EDA solution is an asset investment planning platform that empowers asset-intensive organizations like IO to enhance the understanding of their portfolios, enabling optimal, data-driven decision-making. The aim is to balance and prioritize complex factors for the best possible investment plans,\u201d added Rob Corazzola, the company\u2019s global sales director for enterprise decision analytics. \u201cThe system we\u2019re deploying for IO will help them achieve their expanding strategic capital asset management objectives in a timely and effective manner, while supporting the development of key reporting and management plans.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where previously applied, the company says EDA has improved system efficiency by 30 per cent, reduced planning and reporting times by 80 per cent, and increased project execution accuracy by 20 per cent.<\/p>\n
