Prior to joining WSP, Filato, who is based out of the firm\u2019s Montreal office, was previously the CFO at Telecon, a leading telecom network design and construction firm and connectivity services provider.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThroughout his career, Peter has acquired a remarkable experience in senior financial positions,\u201d stated Marie-Claude Dumas, president and CEO of WSP in Canada. \u201cPeter is a strong leader of teams, with excellent relationship-building skills that motivate his teams towards shared success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Filato has more than 25 years of experience in finance, starting as an auditor, eventually moving into various finance roles at SNC-Lavalin and later moving to Alcan. After his time at Alcan, he joined Gildan Activewear where he spent 13 years, eventually becoming the CFO-manufacturing and leading teams in finance, IT, procurement and legal.<\/p>\n<p>He has led several acquisitions and ERP implementations, including adopting the Lean Six Sigma methodology for which he is a certified black belt.
