{"id":24194,"date":"2024-01-03T16:03:12","date_gmt":"2024-01-04T00:03:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/canada-announces-heat-pump-program-with-newfoundland-and-labrador\/"},"modified":"2024-01-03T16:03:13","modified_gmt":"2024-01-04T00:03:13","slug":"canada-announces-heat-pump-program-with-newfoundland-and-labrador","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/canada-announces-heat-pump-program-with-newfoundland-and-labrador\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada announces heat pump program with Newfoundland and Labrador"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/essential.construction\/files\/membership-default-internal\/\" class=\"memberhide\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/01\/20220718_175041000_iOS.jpg\" alt=\"-\"><\/a><br\/><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Jan. 3, 2024 \u2013 The Government of Canada has increased funding for the Oil to Heat Pump Affordability program in Newfoundland and Labrador.<\/p>\n<p>Under the program, low-to-median-income households in Newfoundland and Labrador can now apply here to receive up to $22,000 in funding to cover the full, average cost of switching to a heat pump \u2014 including \u00a0up to $15,000 from the Government of Canada\u2019s OHPA program and another up to $7,000 from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and other federal funds.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to these strengthened heat pump grants, successful applicants will also receive an upfront, one-time payment of $250 from the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>Oil-heated households have been and will continue to be able to apply for up to $10,000 in federal OHPA funding via the national portal managed by NRCan.
