Co-located with the International Builders Show (IBS), KBIS, the largest kitchen and bath show in North America and part of Design and Construction Week, recorded the following numbers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>117,000 DCW registered visitors<\/li>\n<li>41,500 KBIS registered visitors<\/li>\n<li>46% of KBIS attendees were new to the event<\/li>\n<li>Over 670 KBIS exhibitors (30% increase from 2023)<\/li>\n<li>Over 260 NEW KBIS exhibitors (40% increase from 2023)<\/li>\n<li>More than 200 KBIS international exhibitors (35% increase from 2023)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Connect Kiosks, the International Delegation Program, the Global Connect Strategic Alliance Partner Forum, and the International Pavilions from UK, Germany, and Brazil were drivers of much of the increased international attendance.<\/p>\n<p>Below are the NKBA Global Connect Programs and their turnouts, executed at KBIS 2024:<\/p>\n<h4>The International Delegation Program<\/h4>\n<p>This year\u2019s International Delegation Program welcomed over 80 Kitchen and Bath industry professionals, from 14 countries, to Las Vegas to learn about the North American kitchen and bath market. The program included VIP attendance at roundtable luncheons covering topics such as \u201cThe Importance of the Designer in North America,\u201d and \u201cGo-to-Market Strategies for the North American Market\u201d, as well as the NKBA \u201cState of the Association\/State of the Industry\u201d featuring updates on the North American economy, housing, and remodeling trends. Additionally, Delegates participated in the NKBA Design + Industry Awards event, DCW Opening Ceremonies and a variety of show floor programs and events over the three day show.<\/p>\n<h4>The Strategic Alliance Partner Forum<\/h4>\n<p>The first annual NKBA Global Connect Strategic Alliance Partner Forum was hosted by NKBA\u2019s Chief Global Relations Officer, Suzie Williford at KBIS 2024. This idea and information exchange offered each partner the opportunity to present their 2024 initiatives, programs and major agenda items for the foreseeable future. The goal of the program is to continue to offer a platform for sharing and information exchanges between associations and organizations driving the kitchen and bath industry worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Participants included Alexander Oswald of the German Association of the Furniture Industry <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.moebelindustrie.de\/en\/vdm\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">VDM<\/a>, Tom Reynolds of the UK <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/bathroom-association.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bathroom Manufacturers Association<\/a> (BMA), Fabio Cruz of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/centrorochas.org.br\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Centrorochas &#8211; The Brazilian Association of Natural Stone Exporters<\/a>, David Ventris-Field of Lyrical Communications &#8211; producer\u2019s of UK\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.installershow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">InstallerSHOW<\/a> K+B, Bill Darcy of the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/nkba.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">NKBA<\/a>, Carolina Giobbi of the Italian-based components and accessories show, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.exposicam.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">SICAM<\/a>, Volker Irle of the German Association for the Modern Kitchen <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amk.de\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">AMK<\/a> all presented at the forum.<\/p>\n<p>The NKBA Global Connect Strategic Alliance Partners comprise several international organizations and associations, representing kitchen and bath manufacturer members who serve the residential kitchen and bath industry.<\/p>\n<h4>NKBA Global Connect Impact on KBIS<\/h4>\n<p>NKBA Global Connect, the omni-directional NKBA international business development program, designed to minimize the risk for international brands entering the North American kitchen and bath market, helped to facilitate the increase in international exhibitors and attendees participating in KBIS. Initiatives and activations including the Global Connect Lounge, Global<\/p>\n<h4>The Global Connect Lounge<\/h4>\n<p>The Global Connect Lounge served as a hub for all things Global Connect, hosting a series of spotlight presentations, panel discussions and presentations addressing the Global Connect mission.<\/p>\n<p>International brands including Global Connect Kiosk participants <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.concelo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Concelo<\/a> Storage Solutions, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.schott.com\/en-us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Schott<\/a> Specialty and Ceramic Glass, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dekkerzevenhuizen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dekker<\/a> Specialty Worktops, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.exposicam.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">SICAM<\/a> Expo for International Components and Accessories, and the Ukraine Lviv Furnishing and Furniture Sector, presented their innovative products and brand stories.<\/p>\n<p>German downdraft ventilation and cooking brand <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bora.com\/en-int\" target=\"_blank\">BORA<\/a> hosted a panel discussion on \u201cThe Thoughtful Kitchen \u2013 Healthy Spaces and Happy Places,\u201d followed by another panel discussion, sponsored by Richelieu, featuring Germany\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/elektra.de\/de\/\" target=\"_blank\">ELEKTRA Lighting Solutions<\/a> called \u2018Seeing the Light\u2019 &#8211; Exploring International Lighting Design Trends,\u201d.<\/p>\n<h4>The Global Connect Kiosks<\/h4>\n<p>Six Global Connect Kiosks were established as part of the Global Connect Pavilion, allowing international manufacturers and strategic partner organizations to test KBIS as a platform for advancing business interests in North America.<\/p>\n<p>Participants included Concelo from New Zealand showing their innovative waste bin system; Dekker from the Netherlands presented their sustainable kitchen and bathroom worktops; Schott from Germany demonstrated their specialty glass solutions, SICAM, representing the<\/p>\n<p>Italian-based Expo shared insights about international accessories and components influencing kitchen and furniture production globally, and 10 Ukrainian furnishings and furniture brands from Lviv, including <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/garant-nv.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Garant<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/pikartlights.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pikart lights<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mp.in.ua\/en\" target=\"_blank\">Furniture Park<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/woodluck.org.ua\/en\/pro-nas\/\" target=\"_blank\">WoodLuck<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/aria.com.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\">Aria<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/restyle.in.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\">ReStyle<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/zavadski.co\/\" target=\"_blank\">Zavadski<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/viyar.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Viyar<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ads-decor.ua\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Aluminum Decor System<\/a>, and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/marble-ua.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Empire of Marble<\/a> showed their unique and accessibility priced product portfolios.<\/p>\n<h4>The International Pavilions<\/h4>\n<p>Three KBIS sanctioned International Pavilion spaces brought country themed manufacturers together in the North and South Halls. The <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.nkba.org\/globalconnect\/blog\/uk-pavilion-at-kbis-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\">UK Pavilion<\/a>, produced in partnership with the British Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA), featured the theme \u201cA Tradition of Innovation\u201d showcasing five UK brands. In their third year of exhibiting at KBIS, the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/kbis.german-pavilion.com\/en\/sites\" target=\"_blank\">German <\/a><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/kbis.german-pavilion.com\/en\/sites\" target=\"_blank\">Pavilion<\/a>, created in cooperation with the German Association of the German Furniture Industry (VDM) and the Association of Modern Kitchen (AMK), celebrated the theme \u201cMade in Germany\u201d showing 15 German manufacturers. The <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.nkba.org\/globalconnect\/blog\/brazilian-natural-stone-pavilion-at-kbis-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\">Brazil Pavilion<\/a> was a conceptual space produced in collaboration with Centrorochas, the Brazilian Association of Natural Stone Exporters.
