Buildiro, the world\u2019s first mobile app for materials procurement which has been building a loyal fanbase of tradespeople and merchants since its launch in September 2019, is set to introduce a new service.\u00a0 On 20 January 2020, Buildiro Direct begins, delivering those crucial, small, missing items to tradespeople within London, offering a 0.5% discount off every purchase via a points collection system and free courier returns.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been using the Buildiro app on a daily basis for over a month now,\u201d comments Daniel\u00a0Bulawa\u00a0at Wallmates Ltd. \u201cIt saved me\u00a0a lot of time and money as I end up needing to buy items for jobs most days. With the Buildiro app I am now able to find these items in a matter of seconds,\u201d he continued.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Having solved one problem, knowing merchants stock availability, which has helped tradespeople become more productive and merchants build better trade customer relations, Buildiro has listened to its customers and is now out to solve another pain point \u2013 that of discovering missing items that threaten to hold up jobs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Buildiro Direct will deliver from a list of over 20,000 items held on the Buildiro app whether that\u2019s a tool, cable or valve, items that are necessary for the smooth running of jobs.\u00a0 Tradespeople can select from either the 90 minute or same-day delivery option which will run every day (including Bank Holidays) from 7.30 am \u2013 6.30 pm on items which will typically be under 12kg in weight and fit on a motorbike or small van.<\/p>\n

Michael\u00a0Strnadel\u00a0at LM Solutions London Ltd. who has been trialing Buildiro Direct in beta said: \u201cWith Buildiro Direct I don\u2019t need to leave the job I\u2019m on anymore as I can get what I need delivered within 90 minutes! On top of that, the e-invoicing system is just amazing, my accountant is now connected to\u00a0my Buildiro account so I don\u2019t have to worry about invoices at all because it\u2019s all automated.\u201d<\/p>\n

This app enhancement comes on the back of substantial investment in the app from investors who became aware of Buildiro\u2019s UK success.\u00a0\u00a0Luke\u00a0Polach, CEO and Founder, says: \u201cWe\u2019re pleased with progress to date \u2013 tradespeople have told us that they are saving time and money in their search for supplies and, as a result, have widened the list of merchants they know and use.\u00a0 The trade has been crying out for innovation,\u00a0\u201cwe need an UberEats or Deliveroo for the building trade\u201d<\/em>, and we are delighted to have delivered.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Polach says that tradespeople will continue to use Buildiro to source all key supplies faster, more cost-effectively, reducing time wasted spent driving to merchants to source items.\u00a0 \u201cThe new enhancement will help in the day to day smooth running of jobs on site as a small, one-off requirement, can be even more time consuming than sourcing larger items if it puts a job on hold.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the same time, Buildiro is reminding UK users of its e-invoicing option which can be linked to any accounting software which saves merchants\u2019 time and helps their customers to seamlessly comply with the UK\u2019s\u00a0Making Tax Digital<\/a>\u00a0scheme.<\/p>\n

The Buildiro app was developed in-house and runs on the Google Cloud Platform, meaning all data is secure and protected.\u00a0 It is available from the Google Play and Apple app stores and is currently expanding its list of merchants.\u00a0<\/p>\n
