Housing prices continue to rise for the second consecutive month in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>This was the first month since June 2022 that prices increased in 10 or more\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"acro02-tooltip tooltipstered\">CMAs<\/a>. \u00a0Builders in these <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"acro03-tooltip tooltipstered\">CMAs<\/a> attributed the price gains to construction costs and improving market conditions. Meanwhile, Trois-Rivi\u00e8res is one of the most affordable cities in Canada. The largest month-over-month increases in May 2024 were reported in Trois-Rivi\u00e8res, Calgary\u00a0 and Halifax.<\/p>\n<p>According to the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www150.statcan.gc.ca\/n1\/daily-quotidien\/240502\/dq240502c-eng.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Building construction price indexes<\/a> release for the first quarter of 2024, the cost to build residential homes has been gradually rising for both single-detached homes and townhouses in Calgary (first quarter of 2024, year over year).
