The Kitchener Central Transit Hub (previously referred to as the King-Victoria Transit Hub) will provide multi-modal access to the ION LRT, GO rail and bus services, VIA rail services, intercity buses, and local GRT buses, all housed in one eye-catching building. The project has been in planning since 2016, and is finally set to begin construction in 2025.

<imgx alt="Kitchener Central Transit Hub, WZMH Architects, Region of Waterloo, Kitchener" class="image-display_default" data-entity-type="file" data-entity-uuid="insert-display_default-48c5618d-d515-4247-bdec-ab80d34e0eff" data-insert-attach="{" id="" data-insert-class="image-display_default" data-insert-type="image" src="https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2025/01/57883/57883-179519.jpg" onclick="photo('https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2025/01/57883/57883-179519.jpg', true, ''); return false;" title="Aerial rendering of the plaza and transit hub, image courtesy of the Region of Waterloo."/>Aerial rendering of the plaza and transit hub, image courtesy of the Region of Waterloo.

The site is located along Victoria Street, stretching two blocks between King and Weber streets along the south side of the rail corridor.
