Designed by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/graziani-corazza-architects.7998\" target=\"_blank\">Graziani + Corazza Architects<\/a>, the project envisions a five-building residential and live\/work complex spanning two phases. The two parcels for these applications cover 16,078m\u00b2. The phase features two 30-storey towers rising from a six-storey podium, alongside two blocks of three-storey townhouses. It would introduce two 14-storey towers atop six-storey podiums, positioned around a landscaped central courtyard, and accessed from new public roads to the north. This phase would add 463 residential units, with a GFA of 26,860m\u00b2. Bicycle parking entails 967 long-term and 323 short-term spots. Across both phases, a total of 3,202m\u00b2 of indoor and 1,781m\u00b2 of outdoor amenities would be provided, located within the courtyard and podium levels. Phase 1\u2019s towers would have four elevators each, or one for every 102 units, while Phase 2 entails two per tower or approximately one for every 116 units. It connects to Oakville GO station 8.5km to the south, providing service on the Lakeshore West Line, along with GO Bus connections. This and neighbouring new development should trigger the extension of Oakville Transit service to these buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Cycling infrastructure is also expanding, with planned on-road bike lanes along Trafalgar Road that would connect to a multi-use trail on Dundas Street East. Additional bike lanes are proposed on Burnhamthorpe Road. Southeast of the site, the 20-storey <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/greenwich-condos-oakvillage.49743\" target=\"_blank\">Greenwich Condos at Oakvillage<\/a> is nearing completion, while <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/upper-west-side.43335\" target=\"_blank\">Upper West Side<\/a>, also 20 storeys, was completed last year.\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/green-ginger-phase-2.51793\" target=\"_blank\">Green Ginger Phase 2<\/a> proposes 15 buildings up to 24 storeys to the southwest. Northwest of the site, north of Burnhamthorpe Road, the masterplanned <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/trafalgar-lands-oakville.51612\" target=\"_blank\">Trafalgar Lands<\/a> proposal calls for 40 buildings reaching up to 25 storeys.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Further southeast near Dundas Street East, North Oak at Oakvillage is underway, with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/north-oak-oakvillage-buildings-4a-4b.43333\" target=\"_blank\">Buildings 4A and 4B<\/a> rising 16 and 20 storeys, and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/oakvillage-building-4c.57684\" target=\"_blank\">Building 4C<\/a> proposed at 20 storeys. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/oakville-yards.54530\" target=\"_blank\">Oakville Yards<\/a>, also southeast, calls for three towers from 15 to 17 storeys, while the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/oakvillage-retirement-community.49009\" target=\"_blank\">Oakvillage Retirement Community<\/a> would include 7- and 20-storey buildings, and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/3064-trafalgar.43334\" target=\"_blank\">3064 Trafalgar<\/a> is proposed with two towers at 34 storeys.<\/p>\n<p>UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on this development, but in the meantime, you can learn more about it from our Database file, linked below.
