GRAHAM is undertaking the detailed design of the Culham river crossing and the Clifton Hampden bypass elements of the scheme while the detailed design of the Didcot Science Bridge and the widening of the A4130 is being led by AECOM.<\/p>\n
Following detailed design work construction is expected to start in early 2026.<\/p>\n
Councillor Judy Roberts, Oxfordshire County Council\u2019s Cabinet Member for Infrastructure and Development Strategy, said: \u201cGRAHAM has worked on similar projects around the country and have a high commitment to social value and giving back to the local area. Their bid was successful as they understood the scheme and its complexities and how the four elements need to tie together.<\/p>\n
\u201cAECOM has been involved in the project since its inception and have supported us through the planning application process. Their knowledge of the scheme will be invaluable in progressing the project towards construction.\u201d<\/p>\n
Andrew Henry, GRAHAM Contracts Director said: \u201cGRAHAM has been working closely with the council and key stakeholders since April 2023 through early contractor involvement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis collaborative approach has enabled us to develop the detailed design for these significant infrastructure projects while actively engaging with third-party stakeholders such as Thames Water and Openreach to coordinate necessary utility diversions.<\/p>\n
