A GO train crosses the newly thinner Eastern Avenue bridge in Toronto’s Riverside area in this\u00a0image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor flonicky<\/a>. The bridge the GO train is crossing is brand new, built in 2024 immediately beside the original bridge, which was subsequently demolished in January of this year. Next, the old bridge will be replaced by another new one with greater width below it for surface traffic of all kinds, just as the new bridge will allow a doubling of the number of tracks that crossed it prior to construction.
