OTTAWA \u2014 March 8 is International Women\u2019s Day (IWD) and in recognition of the day, the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF) is reaffirming its commitment to breaking barriers and advancing opportunities for women\u00a0and equity-priority groups in the skilled trades.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s theme, For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment, is a powerful call to action, the forum states.<\/p>\n
\u201cBuilding on the legacy of our Supporting Women in Trades (SWiT) Conferences (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022), CAF-FCA is proud to host the first-ever Supporting Equity in Trades (SET) Conference on May 24-26, 2025, in Toronto,\u201d a release reads. \u201cThis conference expands the conversation beyond gender, recognizing the importance of intersectionality in achieving true equity.\u201d<\/p>\n
