There are few corners in central Toronto that still look much like they did pre-World War I, but the northwest corner of King and Jarvis streets is such a case. Even while newer towers punctuate the skyline behind them, the St Lawrence Galleries building and this Canadian Bank of Commerce branch built around 1850 and in 1907 respectively still hold pride of place in a spot where someone’s gotta be wondering how they’d look as a podium.
