HAMILTON, ONT. \u2013 The Hamilton-Halton Construction Association (HHCA) has announced the induction of Henk and Henry Schilthuis into the 2025 Construction Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n
This honour recognizes their contributions to construction, community, and family and will be presented at the association\u2019s 105th annual general meeting and dinner on April 3 in Hamilton.<\/p>\n
\u201cHenk Schilthuis has played a vital role in Schilthuis Construction since 1960, serving as carpenter, superintendent, project manager, and eventually president (1988 to 2003),\u201d states a release. \u201cUnder his leadership, the company modernized operations, adapted to industry advancements and specialized in municipal arena projects. He now serves as vice- president\/superintendent, guiding the company\u2019s expansion into residential and project management contracts.\u201d<\/p>\n
Henry Schilthuis is the current president and has been a managing partner since 2003.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis commitment to building trust with institutional clients \u2013 including James North Baptist Church, YWCA, and Indwell Community Homes \u2013 has strengthened the company\u2019s reputation as a leader in design-build, general contracting and project management,\u201d the release adds.<\/p>\n
\u201cHenk and Henry have grown Schilthuis Construction into a recognized industry leader while maintaining the values of family and community, said Cameron Nolan, construction hall of fame chair, in a statement. \u201cThey exemplify excellence in service and leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n
