Exactly one year to the day after UrbanToronto last checked in<\/a> on Nahid on Broadview<\/a>, construction has reached its final stages. The six-storey mixed-use development sits just north of Danforth Avenue opposite Broadview station. Designed by Options Architects<\/a> for Nahid Corporation<\/a> and Options Development<\/a>, occupancy of the first units began in late 2024.<\/p>\n Captured in April, 2024, this sweeping drone image looking south toward Lake Ontario shows Nahid on Broadview at the bottom centre of the frame, with the tower crane already dismantled. The six-storey mid-rise displays a step-back profile beginning at the third floor of the west elevation. Construction materials are staged atop the roof slab, on lower-level terraces, and along the west end of the site.<\/p>\n Looking west in June, 2024, glazing installation is underway, with dark-framed window units and black mullions now spanning most of the first four storeys and portions of the top two floors. Scaffolding rises to the third level for ongoing facade work, including installation of the precast brick cladding supports, visible as metal attachment brackets above window heads across the lower four levels. White weatherproofing material has been applied across the concrete, while red safety fencing remains in place along balconies and the roofline. A flatbed truck is parked to the right, with construction crews offloading materials.<\/p>\n On September 18, 2024, construction was briefly disrupted by a two-alarm fire that broke out on the rooftop. Seen from Cambridge Avenue in October, 2024, the west elevation reveals both progress and setbacks. The terraced form is now fully clad, with light precast panelling installed along the south and west facades. Window wall glazing spans the stepped massing. At the top of the structure, fire damage is visible on the east side of the mechanical penthouse, with scorching seen on the right.\u00a0<\/p>\n Viewed from across Broadview Avenue looking northwest, the east elevation shows two three-storey volumes anchoring either side and two two-storey central ones, all clad in dark precast brick. These sections alternate with lighter precast cladding, installed along the ground floor and on the second and third levels. Window wall glazing is now in place across most of the facade. Below, sidewalk hoarding and scaffolding remain in place along the retail frontage.<\/p>\n By February, 2025, the building stood fully clad. White precast panels wrap the upper three storeys, continuing across the north and south elevations, with slender horizontal bands of louvres providing visual continuity with the brick volumes. Larger window groupings are seen on the upper two levels with spandrel panels. Inset balconies adjacent to the dark brick volumes feature glass guards and black guardrails, along with projecting balconies on the upper levels. Temporary fencing remains at grade.<\/p>\n Seen from the southwest in March, 2025, the completed west elevation is now fully clad. The mechanical penthouse and uppermost levels have been repaired and finished in light-toned precast panels.<\/p>\n Nahid on Broadview stands 25.45m tall and contains 33 residential units.<\/p>\n UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on this development, but in the meantime, you can learn more about it from our Database file, linked below.
