TORONTO\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0 \u2014 <\/span>A Kenaidan Murphy Joint Venture (KMJV), alongside lead design partner Arup, has been awarded a more than $1 billion contract for the Bloor Yonge Capacity Improvements Project by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
According to a press release, the win will see KMJV, in collaboration with the TTC, deliver the development services phase of a major transformation of the Bloor-Yonge Subway Station.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
The project is poised to play a crucial role in ensuring the station can accommodate Toronto\u2019s ongoing growth, urban development and expanded rail network.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
KMJV will enter a two-year development phase, during which time the team will develop a design, schedule, methodology and target price proposal for the construction of the project.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A new Line 2 passenger platform for eastbound service\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
Expanding the Line 1 northbound and southbound passenger platforms\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
A new accessible entrance on the south side of Bloor Street East\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
Mechanical and electrical work including a multi-level electrical building and subway ventilation fans with associated housing; a combination of new provisions and refurbishment of existing facilities\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
Utilities relocation, highway and public realm works.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
