Dubbed the West Site, the third and final phase cluster of high rises will replace the old London College of Communication student buildings, which are making way for a new University of the Arts London campus being built across the road.<\/p>\n
The revised proposals include 507 rental homes with 165 set aside as affordable, alongside the introduction of 452 student beds to meet growing demand and a new public square.<\/p>\n
Rick de Blaby, chief executive at Get Living, said: \u201cWe are pleased to submit our planning application for the final phase that better reflects local need while significantly enhancing the sustainability credentials.\u201d<\/p>\n
The updated plans follow community feedback and ditch some retail space in favour of more homes. They also bring architectural tweaks designed to better fit the area\u2019s character and now a repurposed chunk of the existing college building will become a new cultural venue.<\/p>\n
De Blaby said the West Site was set to come forward in early 2028 after LCC completes its move.<\/p>\n
Get Living\u2019s first phase, Elephant Central, opened in 2017 with 374 homes, 278 student rooms and a raft of commercial space.<\/p>\n
The second phase, known as The Elephant, is due to open in 2026 with 485 homes and the new university building alongside shops, and restaurants.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
