Construction momentum is building at\u00a0Mattamy Homes<\/a>\u2019\u00a0BLVD Q<\/a> in South Etobicoke, where its crane was installed earlier this month. Located at 935 The Queensway just east of Islington Avenue, the crane\u2019s arrival marks a milestone for the 10-storey, mixed-use building, which broke ground last fall and is set to bring 210 new homes to the growing Queensway corridor.<\/p>\n The activity is part of a broader push across the GTA, where Mattamy Homes continues to advance construction on multiple sites despite a slower market. Mattamy Homes has delivered over 135,000 homes over the past 45 years, making it the largest privately owned homebuilder in North America. Their ongoing work across Toronto, Oakville, Milton, and Burlington reflects a focus on quality and long-term community building, regardless of economic headwinds.<\/p>\n With excavation now complete, forming \u00a0for BLVD Q is underway on the underground levels. The photograph above shows the crane rooted within the pit, behind which a ramp for construction vehicles is still in place along the east side, with mobile cranes parked at grade.\u00a0<\/p>\n Designed by\u00a0TACT Architecture<\/a>,\u00a0the 10-storey mid-rise will add 210 condominium suites along with retail at grade to a fast-developing stretch of The Queensway. With occupancy targeted for 2027, BLVD Q is part of a broader effort to deliver transit-accessible homes on Toronto\u2019s west side. The building will feature co-working spaces, outdoor terraces, and fitness amenities.<\/p>\n At\u00a0Westbend Residences<\/a>, named for the West Bend neighbourhood near High Park, precast concrete panels have shaped the massing, with white cladding installed along the podium. Designed by\u00a0BDP Quadrangle<\/a>, the site is located between Keele and Dundas West subway stations and the UP Express Bloor station.<\/p>\n In Burlington,\u00a0Martha James Condos<\/a> has reached the 14th floor with forming nearing completion and window installation progressing steadily. Glazing has been installed for the first ten floors, with drywall installed inside across the first six floors. Set just north of Lake Ontario, this 14-storey development designed by\u00a0Graziani + Corazza Architects<\/a> will soon introduce 150 suites.<\/p>\n In Oakville\u2019s Preserve neighbourhood, construction at\u00a0Carding House<\/a> is entering the final stretch as interior finishing progresses toward a targeted summer occupancy. Designed by\u00a0Q4 Architects<\/a>, cladding and window installation are well advanced, while the three-storey townhomes are wrapped in white weatherproofing.\u00a0<\/p>\n ClockWork 3<\/a> in Oakville is steadily taking shape, with the superstructure now built up to the second floor. Two cranes rise above the site. Designed by\u00a0KNYMH Inc.<\/a> as part of the larger\u00a0Upper Joshua Creek<\/a> community, ClockWork 3 will house 163 new suites.<\/p>\n At\u00a0Mile & Creek<\/a> Phase 2 in Milton, construction is approaching the final stages, with drywall installation now reaching the seventh floor. Finishes have started going in, while landscaping around the buildings is ongoing. Designed by\u00a0KNYMH Inc.<\/a>, we see white facade panels installed across much of the exterior, while balconies and windows are in place on most levels. With occupancy set for Fall 2025, Phase 2 is part of the larger Mile & Creek community.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, construction in Milton is progressing with the precast superstructure now assembled to the fourth floor, after construction started last summer.
