However, the Committee of Adjustment refused the variances, and the appeal period has since lapsed.

Looking southeast in April, 2024, the crane, installed that January, rises near the east side. At the base, concrete walls are formed for the lower of the two underground garage levels, with rebar projecting skywards in preparation for P1 work. At the back of the photo, the P1 and ground slab — supported by a grid of shoring posts— await the new construction. Behind the crane, the single-storey amenity pavilion is taking shape, with sections of blue weatherproofing along the roofline.

<imgx class="image-display_default" src="https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2025/04/58495/58495-183403.jpg" data-entity-uuid="insert-display_default-21a3903b-2117-4105-b1cf-4729cf04655f" data-entity-type="file" alt="Rosehill Tower, Toronto, designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects for QuadReal Property Group, bcIMC and BentallGreenOak" title="The recently installed tower crane at the east end of the excavation, image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor Domenico" onclick="photo('https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2025/04/58495/58495-183403.jpg', true, 'The recently installed tower crane at the east end of the excavation, image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor Domenico'); return false;">The recently installed tower crane at the east end of the excavation, image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor Domenico

The structure emerged above grade later that summer. Seen from a high-angle view in October, 2024, it stands at two storeys with the third partially formed at the south end. The west elevation reveals step-backs at the second and third levels for future green roof and terrace space. Third-floor formwork and concrete walls are seen around the crane, while sub-grade work remains active along the north and east perimeters, blocked off by temporary fencing.

<imgx class="image-display_default" src="https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2025/04/58495/58495-183404.jpeg" data-entity-uuid="insert-display_default-d321a4ea-4a48-4394-8531-7ebe192901b6" data-entity-type="file" alt="Rosehill Tower, Toronto, designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects for QuadReal Property Group, bcIMC and BentallGreenOak" title="A high-angled view looking northeast to above-grade construction, image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor artemperederii" onclick="photo('https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2025/04/58495/58495-183404.jpeg', true, 'A high-angled view looking northeast to above-grade construction, image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor artemperederii'); return false;">A high-angled view looking northeast to above-grade construction, image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor artemperederii

Viewed from the northeast early this month, Rosehill Tower has reached the 18th floor. Cladding and glazing installation have progressed up to the eighth floor along the east elevation, while temporary wooden boards mark areas awaiting window wall installation. A column of balcony slabs projects at the northeast corner, supported by shoring posts as the concrete continues to cure. The tower’s chamfered southeast corner is now legible to the left, as the facade pivots with more projecting balconies. Behind the scaffolding, an angled third-storey slab supported by cylindrical concrete columns cantilevers over the sidewalk to accommodate a future outdoor terrace amenity.

<imgx class="image-display_default" src="https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2025/04/58495/58495-183407.jpeg" data-entity-uuid="insert-display_default-ee10bb7f-5201-4cd1-bb58-452e656a8c1c" data-entity-type="file" alt="Rosehill Tower, Toronto, designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects for QuadReal Property Group, bcIMC and BentallGreenOak" title="Looking southeast to cladding on the east and north elevations, and the triangular third-floor slab for the outdoor amenity area, image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor rdaner" onclick="photo('https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2025/04/58495/58495-183407.jpeg', true, 'Looking southeast to cladding on the east and north elevations, and the triangular third-floor slab for the outdoor amenity area, image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor rdaner'); return false;">Looking southeast to cladding on the east and north elevations, and the triangular third-floor slab for the outdoor amenity area, image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor rdaner

This view of the north elevation shows the window wall system, defined by charcoal-toned mullions and spandrel panels, framed by bands of white accent cladding.
