The project will see outdated facilities replaced with a new campus featuring a mock hospital ward, student-run hair and beauty salon, sports areas, training kitchens, restaurants, lecture hall and digital learning suites.<\/p>\n
New amenities will support both 16-19 year-olds and adult learners, tackling local skills shortages with modern training facilities and course expansion.<\/p>\n
Designed to be low carbon from the outset, the campus will feature PV solar panels to power operations and a high-performance building envelope to cut heating and cooling costs.<\/p>\n
The scheme is being backed by the Government\u2019s \u00a31.5bn Further Education Capital Transformation Fund, with East Coast College among 16 institutions across England sharing in the investment.<\/p>\n

Work is due to get underway this summer. Kier previously delivered the existing Western campus buildings opposite the new site.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
