Mississauga\u2019s downtown skyline continues to transform as construction advances on the four-tower\u00a0Exchange District Condos<\/a> by\u00a0Camrost-Felcorp<\/a>, designed by\u00a0Arcadis<\/a>. Located south of Square One Shopping Centre, the mixed-use complex is seen in the rendering below with the 30-storey EXS at the west corner, 60-storey EX1 to the south (magenta top), 42-storey EX2 to the east (yellow top), and 72-storey EX3 to the north (blue top).\u00a0<\/p>\n UrbanToronto last provided an update in December, 2024<\/a>, when EX1 became Mississauga\u2019s tallest skyscraper (albeit temporarily<\/a>). EX1 and EX2 have since reached their angled mechanical penthouses, while EX3 continues its ascent. EXS, the first tower to be completed but the last tower to be marketed, stands out in the image below from February, 2025, for the signage that has been placed across its mechanical penthouse. The building features both luxury rental suites and condo units, will soon host a boutique hotel as well. Standing tall behind it is the 60-storey EX1 with forming underway on its mechanical penthouse, while to its left, the 42-storey EX2 is just shy of topping off.<\/p>\n Hidden from view in the image above was EX3, which will be the tallest tower in the complex when it is finished. By April, construction on it had reached a dozen floors up. Looking south across City Centre Drive in the image below, the tower\u2019s podium levels are clearly defined, with a construction hoist climbing their side at left. Extensive scaffolding and shoring posts wrap around this elevation as work on the first overhanging section is soon to come.<\/p>\n Also by April, 2025, forming was underway on EX2’s mechanical penthouse, identifiable in the centre by its angled slab edge projecting over the uppermost residential level. To the right, soffit work on one of EX1’s overhanging sections is visible under the cantilever, with a suspended swing stage installed. Just above, bare concrete balconies await their black cladding to complete the look of the rotated box in the tower\u2019s stacked form.<\/p>\n By early this month, EX1’s cladding had advanced across all of the stacked boxes, with just more balcony guards to go up as well as on the uppermost residential level. At the same time, what really stands out now it that the magenta-tinted glass crown is coming together, with vibrant panels installed. These will be backlit at night to produce a soft pink glow.<\/p>\n The west-facing view below catches up with EX2 and EX3. On the left, EX2\u2019s cladding installation has nearly reached the top of its residential floors, with only the uppermost level and part of the penultimate floor remaining. Cantilevered platforms are visible just below where its mechanical penthouse agles out. To the right, EX3 has reached the 14th level, with rebar and formwork marking the 15th floor in progress. A red concrete boom pump is arched into position, supplying concrete from street level. The construction hoist now extends several storeys above the podium for fresh concrete placement.<\/p>\n Looking northwest, both EX1 and EX2 are approaching full enclosure, including more of EX1\u2019s magenta crown. To the right, only two residential floors remain for EX2\u2019s cladding and glazing.<\/p>\n Once complete, the towers will range in height from 96m to 232m, adding significantly to the skyline around Square One.<\/p>\n UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on this development, but in the meantime, you can learn more about it from our Database file, linked below.
