Geothermal Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) provider Diverso Energy and residential homebuilder Mattamy Homes have formed a joint venture to provide geothermal services to select Mattamy residential developments across Canada, spanning a range of single-family homes, townhouses, and multi-family mid-rise and high-rise developments.<\/p>\n
The partnership makes possible lower-emission communities without compromising affordability, homeowner experience or aesthetic design, say the two companies. Leveraging Diverso\u2019s turnkey EaaS geothermal model, select Mattamy homes will now feature fully electrified, emissions-free heating and cooling.<\/p>\n
\u201cEach of us brought half the solution,\u201d said Tim Weber, CEO of Diverso Energy. \u201cIt took trust and shared vision to bring the partnership together, which will greatly accelerate the adoption of geothermal technology in residential developments across Canada.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mattamy has committed to achieving a 10 per cent greenhouse gas reduction in the homes it sells in its 2025 financial year, as compared to code-built homes. This, it says, represents a 31 per cent reduction from a typical resale home built just 20 years ago.<\/p>\n

Both companies say they intend their partnership to serve as a benchmark for the broader development community, offering a real-world case study in how to meet the demands of increasingly strict building codes without sacrificing the bottom line.<\/p>\n
