TORONTO \u2014 Diverso Energy,\u00a0a geothermal Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) provider, and Mattamy Homes have announced a joint venture they say represents a significant milestone in the evolution of sustainable homebuilding in\u00a0Canada.<\/p>\n
Diverso will be the\u00a0exclusive\u00a0provider of geothermal services to\u00a0select\u00a0Mattamy residential developments across\u00a0Canada, spanning a range of single-family homes, townhouses and multi-family mid-rise and highrise developments, states a release.<\/p>\n
This means Mattamy homes will now feature fully electrified, emissions-free heating and cooling.<\/p>\n
\u201cEach of us brought half the solution,\u201d said\u00a0Tim Weber, CEO, Diverso Energy, in a statement. \u201cIt took trust and shared vision to bring the partnership together, which will greatly accelerate the adoption of geothermal technology in residential developments across\u00a0Canada.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mattamy has committed to achieving a 10 per cent greenhouse gas reduction in its FY2025 sold homes as compared to code-built homes. This represents a 31 per cent reduction from a typical resale home built in 2005\/2006, the release adds.<\/p>\n
