Work has just started on the Selly Oak site, which was formerly home to a Sainsbury\u2019s supermarket.<\/p>\n
The scheme will deliver 472 studios and 364 cluster bedrooms across two blocks, along with a new medical centre and landscaped public areas.<\/p>\n
Greystar\u2019s latest scheme is part of Student Roost\u2019s expansion in undersupplied university cities. Birmingham is one of the UK\u2019s tightest student housing markets.<\/p>\n
Daniel Thompson, managing director of UK development at Greystar, said: \u201cSelly Oak is a key location, and we\u2019re investing in its long-term future through a mix of housing, public realm and essential services.\u201d<\/p>\n
McAleer & Rushe director Darragh Greenan said that the Triangle scheme would include more than 13,000 sq ft of resident amenities such as a cinema, gym, study areas and lounges.<\/p>\n
It is targeting BREEAM \u2018Very Good\u2019 and EPC A ratings with green roofs, solar panels and sustainable materials.<\/p>\n
McAleer & Rushe previously worked with Greystar on the Canvas Wembley student scheme, due to open before the 2025\/26 academic year.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
