\u00a0289\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\nThe Greater Toronto Area\u2019s top builders, designers, and developers gathered last night at Vaughan\u2019s Universal EventSpace for the 45th annual BILD Awards gala. With over 900 industry professionals in attendance, the evening honoured architecture, community building, marketing, sales, and customer care across the region\u2019s new home sector. In addition, the Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Howard Sokolowski, recognized for his decades-long leadership and influence in shaping the GTA\u2019s residential landscape.<\/p>\n
Here is a look at the winners and finalists across the Project and Builder Awards:<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Project of the Year \u2013 Mid\/High-Rise: <\/strong>One Roxborough West<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n One Roxborough West<\/a> is designed by Reflect Architecture<\/a> for North Drive Investments Inc.<\/a> It will rise 12 storeys at the southwest corner of Yonge Street and Roxborough Street West in Summerhill. The mixed-use condominium brings 24 residences to a high-profile corner, and is currently under construction.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Project of the Year \u2013 Low-Rise: <\/strong>OAKPOINTE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n A joint development by Arista Homes<\/a> and Great Gulf<\/a>, OAKPOINTE<\/a> is located on the north side of Dundas Street East and east of Eighth Line in Uptown Oakville. The community plan will introduce a mix of built forms, ranging from townhouses and semi-detached units to medium-density mixed-use blocks.<\/p>\n Finalists:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n People\u2019s Choice Award: <\/strong>Exhale Residences<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Voted on by the public, the People\u2019s Choice Award went to Exhale Residences<\/a>, an 11-storey boutique condominium developed by Brixen Developments<\/a> and designed by Architecture Unfolded<\/a>. Set along Mississauga\u2019s fast-developing Lakeshore East corridor, the 284-unit project will offer immediate access to the urban waterfront.<\/p>\n Finalists:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Best Purpose-Built Rental Project: <\/strong>The Bakerfield II<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n The Bakerfield II, a rental community by The Rose Corporation<\/a>, is contributing to the rental housing supply in Newmarket. Designed by RAW Design<\/a> with investment from BGO<\/a>, the 10-storey building was opened earlier this year.<\/p>\n Finalists:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Best Community \u2013 Built: <\/strong>Elm \u2013 Ledbury<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Elm \u2013 Ledbury<\/a>, a pair of mixed-use rental towers by Fitzrovia Real Estate Inc.<\/a>, are rising to 27 and 28 storeys, fronting onto Mutual and Dalhousie streets in Downtown Toronto. The 542-unit development is designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects<\/a> and Turner Fleischer Architects<\/a>.<\/p>\n Finalists:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Best New Community \u2013 Planned\/Under Development: <\/strong>Caledon Station<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Envisioned by Argo Developments<\/a> (under Caledon Community Partners), Caledon Station<\/a> is a masterplanned, mixed-use community located in the Macville\u2013Glasgow area of Bolton.
